Under 8 Hurling Our under 8 hurlers travelled down to Banagher on Saturday last in the first All County Blitz of 2014. The U-8 team won their 3 games against Coolderry, Kinnitty and Ballinamere. The U-7 team won against Drumcullen and narrowly lost against Kilcormac/Killoughey and St Rynaghs. The future is looking bright for hurling in Clara when we can compete and win against predominantly hurling clubs. The Clara panel was: Greg Byrne, Liam Flynn, Alex Handy, Christian McKeon, Ryan Carroll, Evan Cronin, Myles Handy, Ciaran McKeon, Kevin Gavin, Caomhan Dunne, Jack Devine, James Cullen, Jonah Devine, Glenn Melia, Ronan Touhey, Aaron Kelly, PJ Looby, Jamie Larkin and Scott Griffith. Apologies if anyone was forgotten. Huge credit goes to their very committed management team: William (Banjo) Flynn, David Gavin, Ivan Melia and Joe Fossil Keyes. Well done lads. Absolutely no question about the effort and the quality of training being put into this group of kids.
