Under the Valley Girl ramble, this young woman raises some serious points that we are re-posting so the President can see how disconnected he is from many of his supporters. I believe the problem is one of Commmunication. Not tightly scripted Press Conference communications but the absence of a Total Communications strategy that translates powerspeak into constituent speak. In sum, the Public does not know what the President has been doing, or not doing, and why. When people do not get the facts, they fill in the blanks. They feel betrayed because all they hear are mea culpa confessions, scrambling over faux pas that should have been managed quietly, contradictory positions without explanation WHY. The Public would support any HONEST position that explains WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? This administration has not done a very good job with crisis management either. Going public with explanations of every detail about a website is just ridiculous and only made the situation worse. People do not want to know every move that the administration makes. And please say that the invasion of the Whitehouse by an armed gunman who took a self guided tour was really a spoof for SNL. The terrorists must be saying Ditch the fly planes into the Pentagon as missles plan and go with Walk in the front door with a suicide vest. The net effect is the impression of chaos and absence of consistent leadership with a firm grip on the wheel. A Communications plan starts with a coherent Mission and Vision that drives the strategic decisions. We get the sense that aside from ISIS (where it was well developed but not overly sharing), there has been an absence of this. Again, we also see alot of wasted ad funds as well by many polliticians who clearly dont have this expertise. If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? MOOT. Nobody is llistening. Time to tune in Mr President. People are not getting the message.
