Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s seven precincts charged 113 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods. South Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Hamilton Church Road, Tampa Drive, Wallace Road, Jefferson Street at Cowan Street, Ocala Drive, and Hopedale Drive. Seized were approximately five grams of marijuana, one marijuana plant, 38 pills and .2 grams of cocaine. Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Lewis Street, Lafayette Street, Fairfield Avenue, Maury Street, Robertson Street, Old Hickory Boulevard, Claiborne Street, Charles E. Davis Boulevard, Perkins Street, Parris Avenue, Fain Street, and Old Hickory Boulevard. Seized were 4.5 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, 22 various pills, and one vehicle. West Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, 51st Avenue North, and Mountain Valley Drive. Seized were 174 grams of marijuana, 169 pills, a small amount of cocaine, three grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, three vehicles, one handgun and $959 cash. North Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on 26th Avenue North at Clarksville Pike, Hillside Avenue, Jefferson Street, and 32nd Avenue North. Seized were 20.31 ounces of marijuana, 151.3 grams of cocaine, one gram of heroin, 18 marijuana plants, one gun, two vehicles and $37,943 cash. Madison Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard. Seized were 28 grams of cocaine, ten grams of marijuana, nine Lortab pills, one gram of cocaine and one handgun. East Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Gallatin Pike, Inga Street, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 88 hydrocodone pills, two Suboxone strips, four grams of marijuana, 900 milliliters of anabolic steroids, .6 grams of heroin and $65 cash. Central Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street, 4th Avenue North, Duncan Street, and Meadow Cliff Drive. Seized were 27.8 ounces of marijuana, 12 grams of hash oil, one gram of cocaine, one vehicle and $781 cash. Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
