Understanding is todays Gift of the Holy Spirit for prayer, reflection & action on immigration reform. PRAYER: God grant us the gift of Understanding, so that we may mourn the death and suffering on our border. REFLECTION: Through the gift of understanding, we grasp the essence of the truths of our faith. Understanding enables us to see with God’s eyes the long range impact of decisions made about enforcement and border security rather than propose solutions that may be harmful instead of helpful. We pray that border security will be understood as only one component of a genuine, compassionate and workable immigration system. ACTION: Break down barriers of misinformation with social media.
