Understanding the nature of the road I am on, I also understand that some people are so driven to their purposes in this election that many have no limitation as to what they will say or do, whether truth or fiction. Often bzy w my work, family, and life in general, I am not inclined to spending hours surfing the endless waves of Facebook comments. So, forgive me for not always being able to respond to questions, concerns, or comments directed to or at me! I dont see them all. Furthermore, I prefer that people message me via inbox with their questions, rather than expect me to constantly answer on a group FB sites. That being said, I will address one such criticism by my opponents brother-in-laws who are attempting to taint my previous n valuable tbc leadership experience. These two attempt to discolor me, by tying a failed Oil development initiative (Alenco) in the 90s to where I stand today. Even comparing to questionable operations of front companies such as Spotted Hawk Development (SHD). Ridiculous! Whether then or now, I have never been a sponsor or advocate of any particular oil company. Being not a proponent of Alenco, I did what most govt reps should do, I relied on a vote by my community members (70%+) n cast my vote accordingly. Soon after, the 1998 election n the change of Chair Admin occurred, n the Alenco proposal died, for lack of support, including myself as I was reelected n did not see the benefit of supporting it, along with the majority of Council. End of story! But the story of this Facebook discussion is FULL of IRONY! It is ironic that my experience n leadership is negatively compared to Spotted Hawk when that very same Company n its principals are strongly and actively supporting n funding my opponent Damon Williams! THAT IS A FACT! It is also IRONIC that my two critics also served on the tbc in the 1990s n failed to be re-elected to their tbc positions, garnering a mere doz votes amongst more than 500 constituents! People had enough of THEIR leadership! Insane that they now pass judgement on my 8 yrs of solid service! Crazier beyond Irony, is that one (Roger BB) illegally took $20,000 from our tribe, and was forced to repay it in the famous n historic Bourdeaux case, in which a strong Elder (Pliga) courageously challenged the wrongful taking n brought it to justice!!! Irony is an amazing thing, huh?! I now wonder what other misinformation or deceptive ploy will be used to attack me? My opponents in-laws have significant abundance of oil $, far exceeding nearly ALL of us on Fort Berthold! Do they have plans for making EVEN MORE $s if my opponent is elected Chairman?! Doesnt take a lot of perception to see where this all could go, especially in our Tribal govts current state of Self-dealing n questionable Bz activity! I pray not, n that others see it for what it is! Meanwhile, I get back to living life outside this scope of social media! Gd night!
