Undoubtedly, music is a great source of aesthetic pleasure for lots of people. Today we share a video of an orchestra which plays vegetable instruments. And we share it for you to joy but also to point out something that is hardly ever said. There is a lot of musical instruments made of animal body parts. Lots of percussion instruments are made of animal skin, of animals who not wanted to be harmed and who wanted to live. And the violin bow is made of horsehair. Music is wonderful, of course, and aesthetic pleasure is valuable, but we must not place aesthetics before ethics. Ethics must establish clear limits and show what we can and cannot do to get aesthetic pleasure. With instruments made of materials of non-animal origin music is played too. So all instruments must be veganized. Nobody should suffer or die because we like a particular sound made by a particular material.
