Unedited The moon was colonized in order to solve the world’s overcrowding of the prison system. Nobody has ever willingly gone to the moon. Not even one hundred years ago when the moon still kept the prisoners captive. What was a once barren landscape had pockets of prison encampments, and then that turned into a metropolis unified with the sole intent of taking the most physically capable citizens on earth and training them according to the regiment outlined in the moon’s constitution. The people on earth were wary and took the defensive position by making their own armies stronger. The tube that people traveled through to get to the moon was almost closed off, but the attempt was unsuccessful. After the people of earth lost control of the Outer Tube, they never regained control. Allowing people from the moon to travel to and from earth whenever they desired. The problem was worsened for the people on earth because they had to fight a unified enemy while they were still divided. Armies on earth could not single handedly take on the moon’s militia, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to stop the moon people from abducting people on earth. When Decima and Nihilate landed on earth it was the day the people of the moon captured more recruits than any other day in it’s history. And it is the day that I died.
