Unfortunately, there are organizations in Thunder Bay actively - TopicsExpress

Unfortunately, there are organizations in Thunder Bay actively advocating for very young dogs to be spayed and neutered. The science is very clear, and has been for many years now: there are major physical and behavioural consequences to removing a quarter of any living beings endocrine system. These consequences include hip dysplasia, CCL tears, patellar luxation, a significant increase in cancer (NOT a decrease), and an increase in behavioural issues. The proposed solution: partial spays or vasectomies, which arent currently offered in Thunder Bay...but if the demand is there, vets will have to get on board. In the meantime, the people advocating for early spay and neuter need to be more truthful, and the people making the decisions for their animals need to be doing more research. End rant.
