Unfortunately this Tuesday I found out my boy has severe hip dysplasia which isnt worth operating on.. Turns out its hereditary so not covered by pet insurance.. He also has a gap in his vertebrae from the hip problem 😭 he is only coming up 3 years old! Most heartbreaking news I think I have ever had! He is still sooo happy, its mostly only affected when exercised/tired... I now have him on strict diets (vet prefers slightly underweight) which means no treats (he LOVES treats!) and ongoing prednisone injections.. I have also been told by the vet that fish oil tablets are better that arthritis powders at this stage... #feelingheartbroken
