Union County Animal Control is one of eight North Carolina animal control facilities that still gasses companion animals. Over the past nine years thousands of companion animals have been gassed at Union County AC. Its time to stop this barbaric practice. As of this writing there are only sixteen (16) rescue groups on the Union County AC website that are authorized to pull animals and they need many more if we are to make a difference in saving lives. You can check out the website at: sheriff.co.union.nc.us/animalctrl.aspx If you want to add your groups name to the authorized list then you must email your 501c3, dept. of agriculture license, and a list of volunteers who would be authorized to pull the animals on your behalf. Email this information to: [email protected]. More authorized groups creates greater visibility for the animals and more lives can be saved. Lets give support to the animals to end the gas chamber.
