United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East seeks to employ a qualified Investigator, Limited Duration Contract HQ (A) (14-AR-AM-13) The Investigator will be responsible for undertaking or coordinating as appropriate, investigations of misconduct throughout the Agency. He / She will also be responsible for offering advice and guidance to UNRWA staff engaged in investigations carried out by Field Office and HQ Departments or other offices including advising Field Office Directors and HQ Directors / Chiefs on Terms of Reference and related plans for investigations as well as providing guidance on the conduct of such investigations in accordance with generally recognized international investigative standards and Agency guidelines. The ideal candidate should have an advanced university degree in law from an accredited university or a related field and a formal training and/ or certification in various law enforcement methodologies and/ or fraud examination or investigations. He/she should have five years of relevant experience in applying investigation techniques in criminal or administrative inquiries. Human Resources Officer (Entitlements), Grade 17 HQ (A) (14-AR-AM-14) Human Resources Officer (Entitlements) will be ensuring compliance with Staff Regulations and Staff Rules, Staff Management Directives, Instructions, Circulars and Personnel manuals by directing, controlling and verifying all actions taken by the HQ Area Personnel Section which have an impact on area staff members, including recruitment, appointment, promotion, transfer, assignment, entitlements, medical insurance plans, separations, etc. He / She will also be responsible for reviewing and recommending decisions on complex and/or special cases related to Area staff entitlements Agency-wide and preparing related correspondence. The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree from an accredited university in business or public administration, human resources management or another behavioural or social science or related discipline. He/she should have seven years of increasingly responsible work in human resources and/or personnel and general administration, of which at least three years should have been in a supervisory capacity.
