Unity Families, I hope you are all well and whole after last - TopicsExpress

Unity Families, I hope you are all well and whole after last nights storms. Much was lost, and many of our neighbors have lost their homes, schools, and work. You may already be in the process of giving aid through other organizations in your life, but if you are looking for a way to help, we are partnering with the Unity Church at 2610 Reservoir Road as a way to distribute goods. Right now, these are the things were collecting: - Food and Water - only items that do not need to be cooked or refrigerated - Bottled water, canned food, etc. - Clothing - this includes everything youd need if you lost clothing and shelter - blankets, ponchos, clothes, shoes, etc. - Child care - everything from diapers to coloring books and crayons - Emergency supplies - Batteries, headlamps, first aid kits, etc. You can bring them directly to the Church or bring them to the dojo and well take everything thats here over after classes. If you would like to send money we can get monetary donations matched dollar for dollar through Blue Cross Blue Shield (Ill post a followup with instructions on how to do that soon). Also think about if your family can support adopting a family that has lost their home (also instructions to follow on how to do that). Sorry I am short on details right now, but we want to get moving fast. There will be people at the Unity Church collecting items by 2pm today and Ill post an update when we have more details. Code of ethics #1 - Cuong Nhu Students should strive to improve themselves and their abilities in the martial arts in order to serve the people.
