Unity of the Faith: How Do We Get There? The unity of the faith is not a doctrine or a belief system. The unity of the faith is the faith of Christ who dwells in the saints. When the saints truly apprehend that of themselves they can do nothing, when they understand there is no truth or wisdom or life but Christ Himself, when they put on love which binds everything together in perfect harmony and depend solely upon the faith of Christ as the substance of their hope, they will come into the unity of the head of the body—Christ Jesus, the Lord of glory.
