University Students Stormed Taiwan`s House Of Legislation I fully support the Taiwanese students who were courageous enough to storm the House of legislation to protest against the signing of trade treaty between the Taiwanese government and the Chinese government. President Ma Yin Jiao should have known the implications of signing trade treaty with China. In case Ma did not know or pretended not to know, let me tell him that once the trade treaty is being implemented, Taiwan`s culture, language, way of life, freedom of speech and human right would face great disaster. The foolish Chinese government would bring in the ugly simplified version of Chinese characters to Taiwan and it would also interfere with the freedom and human right of the Taiwanese. It would also control the Taiwan`s media as what it did to the Hongkong`s media in which it employed assailants to intimidate or threaten the editors and reporters with violence and force in an effort to shut their mouth. The students must continue to exert pressure on Ma until he retracts the trade treaty with China.I wish the students all the best.
