Unlawful Detention Condemned Prisoners Not Released Despite Court Orders:APHC =>While terming the government’s policy with regarding the prisoners who are not being released despite the court orders in their favour as illegal and cruel, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference strongly condemned this. Hurriyat said that the allegations leveled against the innocent youths and students of Baramullah which include Faizan Ahmad Tantray, Fayaz Ahmah Kumhar, Majid Ahmad Shakh, Abdul Qayoom Najar, Ashiq Qadir Lone, Altaf Ahmad Gojri, Suhail Ahmad Malik, Javaid Ahmad Dar, Touseef Amin Khan and Raja Ishfaq Ahmad Khan has been proved baseless and the court have ordered their immediate release but the Baramullah police is reluctant to release them and are detaining them without any legal justification. In a statement issued to the press, Hurriyat said that the recent floods on the one hand affected every Kashmiri and on the other hand the condition of the prisoners have become pitiable and they are very much concerned for the safety of their family members. In this situation, it was essential for the government to unconditionally release the political prisoners or release the under trials on the pay-roll but nothing like that happened and even the prisoners who were either granted release orders or the bail by the courts, were also not released and their detention is being pro-longed under the vengeance. Hurriyat further said that many youths of Baramullah were arrested in false cases few months back and now they have either completed their imprisonment or they have been bailed out by the courts but police refuse to release them and they are still in jails. While strongly condemning this police action, Hurriyat Conference demanded immediate release of all the political prisoners including the innocent youths of Baramullah and appealed all the international human rights organization to take serious notice of the conditions of the political prisoners of Jammu & Kashmir and play their role in releasing these prisoners.
