Unless we live in seclusion, we may eventually be offended by or offend someone. Depending on the nature of the offense, one might respond with compassion toward the offender, forgive & move on, or become stuck & resentful. If the latter occurs, attempting to assertively confront the offender, & forgiveness are needed to be reconciled. We can forgive without confronting, but reconciliation takes two willing people to achieve. Sometimes it is helpful to get the input of a qualified, experienced professional to help discern how to proceed.
