Unless you are a part of a rescue or shelter...you may not realize this but the beginning of the school year is one of the hardest times of the year for us. You would not believe the amount of animals that are abandoned or surrendered because their kids are going back to school..... Also adoption numbers drop to an all time low this time of year. It is sickening the excuses that we recieve. Pets are not disposal nor tradeable. Kudos to my fellow rescuers battling the storm.
