Unmerited Grace, and Unmerited Favor [Un-Earned Grace and Favor] Listen: If I send my 12 year old Son to the store with $10.00 to get milk for the family and his little sister, and he goes to the store and wastes that $10.00 on Video games and Baseball cards, I would be very unhappy. Yet for some strange reason, I reach into my pocket and show him Unmerited/Un-Earned Grace and Favor... and I give him ANOTHER $10.00 and ask him to Do what I FIRST sent him out to do and come home with the Milk for His family and his little baby sister....... If he comes home a second time having squandered the families last moneys on More Video Games and Baseball Cards, HOW DO YOU THINK I WILL FEEL AND WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN TO MY 12 YEAR OLD SON??????? In Christian Theology and Thought... There is a false doctrine that says: NOTHING I DO EFFECTS MY RELATIONSHIP AND STANDING WITH GOD!!!, and they base that thought on UNMERITED GRACE & FAVOR doctrine!!!! In the example above I showed Unmerited Grace and Favor to my son, by allowing him to redeem himself and correct his errors by PAYING FOR HIS errors and sins using my OWN account. Yet anybody in their RIGHT mind knows that they dont expect my son to DO IT a second time, and everyone would justify some form of punishment toward my son for taking that: UNMERITED GRACE AND FAVOR...and throwing it in the GARABAGE can, disregarding, the love and tenderness that I the father have show to him. Most people would be more angry for the Second offence than the first offence and rightfully so. Lets not take Gods commands, and creator for ourselves INDULGENCES, and licenses to SIN and do wrong, at least not based on the doctrine of UNMERITED GRACE. True: God is Gracious and Merciful... but the bible is clear that if his GRACE, MERCY AND FAVOR ARE NEGLECTED AND thrown in the garbage... Eventually we will bump SMACK DAB INTO his FIREY INDIGNATION: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:26-27 - Holy Bible, kjv blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Hbr&c=10&t=KJV#s=1143026 In The NEW Testament/Covenant we are still under the stipulations of Christ’s Commands. We are on the second run to the Grocery Store. God may send us on 20 different runs to the Grocery store until we get it RIGHT…. He might not even send us on a 3rd run, WE DON’T KNOW. It’s a foolish thing to willfully take advantage of the love and Grace of our creator. I leave you with the words of Christ Himself: “I [Christ] am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on ME should not abide in darkness [ignorance]. And if *ANY* man[Person] hear my words [The Gospel/Bible], and believe NOT, I [Christ] judge him not: for I [Jesus Christ] came not to JUDGE the world, but to SAVE the world. He that REJECTETH me, and receiveth NOT my words [The Gospel/Bible], hath ONE that judgeth him: THE WORD [The Gospel/Bible] that I have spoken, the same shall judge him [That Person] in the last day [The Day of Judgment]. For I [Jesus Christ the Son of God] have not spoken of myself; but the Father [God] which sent me, he [God the Father] gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I ***KNOW*** that his [My Father’s] COMMANDMENT *******IS******* ***LIFE EVERLASTING*** [Eternal Life]: whatsoever I [Christ] speak therefore, even as the Father [God] said unto me, so I [Jesus] speak.” John 12:46-50 - Holy Bible, kjv
