Uno, the little Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) is sitting in a cage at Brooklyn ACC and he’s waiting patiently for YOU! Turned in there because his owner of the last few years don’t have time for him, its hard to tell what they thought of Uno. On one hand, they said he loves to be petted, loves to play but then said he doesn’t like too many people. So its anybody’s guess as to how he fit in with the family. His medical shows him to be in decent health and he’s already neutered and chipped. Uno’s behavioral eval is fairly typical of little dogs who find themselves at a noisy crowded shelter. He didn’t like to be stared at, to be manhandled, to have his food taken away, and he had no clue what that strange dog who came into the room wanted. So are you Morkie owners all smiling? Doesn’t he sound like your dog? ACC doesn’t seem to understand that Uno is not happy and that he’s scared to death. Their answer is to put him on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, Uno is pleading for someone to take him out of that awful cage, to treat him like any good Morkie should be treated, and to just let him be the new royalty in your home. If you’re ready to have Uno take over your lap, to have him decide when and what to play with, to get all those doggie kisses, start applying to rescues to foster or adopt Uno (he’s New Hope only). He’s ready to go at a moment’s notice.
