Unofficial results with all ballots counted show that Assabet River Valley Chapter and GRP Member Tar Larner was elected to the Concord Housing Authority last night in town elections. Tar ran a write-in sticker campaign after it was announced that no candidate had registered to run for the office. He won 82 votes, compared to a total of 65 votes for all other write-in candidates combined. Tar believes in the right for everyone to have affordable housing and the need to have enough affordable housing to meet the need. He is also a strong believer in a system of consensus and is expected to be a voice of reason on at the Concord Housing Authority. Tar was briefly a member of the GRP State Committee and has also been a member of the GRP Membership Committee. He is currently an active member of the Assabet River Valley Chapter of the Green-Rainbow Party where he is also Secretary of the Chapter. Tar says that he is thankful to the GRP for its help in rallying support for him during his brief campaign. This is the first member of the ARV Chapter elected to office. Congratulations, Tar! This is good news for the people of Concord!
