Unpopular Post: Commence! I love dogs. I do. They are a wonderful sentient species, but they appeal to the worst parts of the human ego. They possess undying love and gratitude and, when properly trained, are obedient slaves. They want to please and will adopt the nature of their master—be it good or bad. They are what the gods we create hope we will be. Given the fact that we create our gods in our own mind in an attempt to control other humans as if they were dogs. Cats. Cats. Cats will not bend to your will. If you love a cat you must allow that cat to be a cat. You must know that the cat will never fully bend to your demands, that it will keep its own independent self intact. Love that animal. Love that which you cannot control. And when you can love the free spirit of all animals—to include humans—then we can have a conversation about love.
