((Unpopular opinion: I dont like to use the name Lili Zwingli for Liechtenstein. Admittedly, it sounds cute and I used to like it but now I associate it with mischaracterisation of Liechtenstein. Why? First of all, I think that whoever created the name intended for it to be the German variant of Lily. However, that is not the case. As you know (probably), German is the official language of Liechtenstein. And yet, in German, the name is spelt as Lilie. Alright, alright, its a misspelling, nothing to get worked up over, eh? How I wish. Let me address the surname Zwingli. Siblings in Hetalia usually do not have the same surname. Take the Kievan Rus siblings for example: Ivan Braginsky, Natalia Arlovskaya and Iryna Chernenko (Or Katyusha or Yekaterina. I like those two fanon names as well). Those three are blood-related, yet they all have different surnames. So I see no reason that Liechtenstein should change her surname to Switzerlands just because he adopted her as his sister. But thats not the point. The point is, Zwingli is the surname of a Protestant reformer. Liechtenstein is a Catholic country. No matter how much she loves and admires her brother, I highly doubt that she would use the surname of a Protestant reformer in her name. And finally, the issue of canon. Well, let me tell you the good news. Liechtenstein does have a canon name. Her canon surname is Vogel, and possible first names are Elise, Erika, Eva and Tutsia/Sisia. Later on, Elise and Eva were removed from the list for unknown reasons, so Erika and Tutsia/Sisia remain. The part of the fandom that realises this are usually reluctant to use Sisia (I like that though, because it sounds unique and somewhat pleasing to the ear) because apparently its not really a name, which leaves us with Erika. And voila! Liechtensteins human name is Erika Vogel. Additionally, at the start I said something about mischaracterisation. Well, the thing is, many of the people who use Lili Zwingli tend to make Liechtenstein out as a naive, silly and ignorant little girl who relies on her brother for everything and basically hero-worships him. No, no, no. She is mature, intelligent, high-tech and although she loves and admires her brother and depends on him militarily and economically speaking, she can think and do things for herself, thank you very much. Besides, Liechtenstein is the last remaining state of the Holy Roman Empire! Shes the only German-speaking monarchy left in the world, and shes at least 300 years old, so I daresay you should treat her with more respect and actually understand that shes more mature and sensible than say, Sealand or Kugelmugel. Sorry for the rant, and I hope you dont think badly of me for bashing something pretty popular.))
