Until a full and rigorous investigation is carried out by the proper authorities we should all REFRAIN from implicating ANYONE whether Government or Opposition in the burning of the Treasury Building in Nevis!! Yes, it is difficult and we are all tempted to cast blame and point fingers at one another but it would be a travesty if we allow ourselves to descend into suspicion and mistrust of our fellow brothers and sisters. There of course IS a chance that this is all a coincidence, an unfortunate series of events... I feel a real disservice was done to the people of our Federation when Dr Denzil Douglas took it upon himself to go on the air in a national broadcast in order to incriminate the Opposition a few weeks ago. It really upsets me that he chose to do this! But remember how he has proclaimed and boasted of himself... You remember in 1993? You know I am capable of doing that you know. Tell them DOUGLAS is capable. I can incite you know. People of SKN, do not let yourselves be incited!! We will NOT be incited. The Elected Majority in Opposition has for the last 13 months PEACEFULLY and STEADFASTLY called for the MONC debate. Weve gone to the Courts to seek recourse, unlike some who threw bottle and stone in 93! WE have marched PEACEFULLY. WE have rallied PEACEFULLY. WE have prayed PEACEFULLY. Every single last Opposition public meeting has been without incident. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Nil. Only PEACE from Team UNITY!!! And we will continue now in PEACE and in UNITY for the betterment of St. Kitts-Nevis as always. See you all at BANK STREET for yet another PEACEFUL rally this evening at 5 pm sharp! Wear your white.
