Until last night I had been allergic to bees... I guess the 6 stings I got last night were an indication I am no longer allergic ...OR adrenaline is the best medicine for an allergic reaction! Had no time for me when the dog was in such distress. I do believe she would have died had Mike not gotten the chewable Benadryl into her. I pulled at least 5 bees off her once she was in the house and I know I have never been so scared in my life. Of course the bee hive was right beside the back door! I did think about where the expired Epi-pen was at....but a lethargic beagle came first. I knew if I had an issue Mike would get me to the hospital ASAP. The girls at the emergency vets even knew to watch me and call 911 just in case. Today I am already on Benadryl, the sites are very itchy and swollen, but I have no breathing problems. Mike went on to church this morning. We all thanked God for his guidance last night in doing what we needed to do. Extra prayers of thanks will be my goal for today.
