Up-Date from PaPa: ( Wed a.m.) Good Wednesday to All!!! It has been a little more than a week since we last posted about our Austin and what all is going on there in McDonough. Austin has been doing very well and is starting to settle in to the New Normal for his life being CANcer Free !!!! He is doing well in School and is very involved in several groups at the Church where the Family attend. We (Nannah & Papa) talk with them or Face-Time with them often and try to keep up with their lives pretty much every day or two. Austin has a Six Months Scan coming up on the 23rd of September so we are asking all our Prayer Warriors and PFA Facebook Family to Pray that we get GREAT RESULTS!!!! We know that Austins last MRI was very good not too long ago when he was having some groin pain that scared us a little so we expect that to remain the same. His overall body scan will be looking for any new developments of disease anywhere else throughout his body and internal organs. We KNOW God has His hands on Austin and will continue to heal his body and keep this Terrible Disease in check. There are a few events coming up that will be a lot of fun for Austin...BBA(Berts Big Adventure) is having a Reunion for all the BBA kids and Families soon and Austin has another Speaking engagement scheduled to spread awareness about Childhood CANcer and to tell his story at a fund raiser for Childhood CANcer Research. There is another Big surprise in the works too and we will share more about that later as details emerge. God continues to Bless Austin and his Family and we are so humbled by all the Prayers and support we receive on a daily basis. September is Childhood CANcer Awareness Month and there are so many Children out there who are fighting for their lives as we speak here in this post.We Pray every day for the Children that are diagnosed every day but also for those who are still fighting and for those that have been Blessed to be Survivors like our Austin. All of the CHOA Families, BBA Families,Jays Hope Families,LighthouseFamilies,PFA Families and all of those we have met throughout our Journey with Austin have a special bond that has been such a wonderful Blessing in our lives. No one could have ever in a million years, convinced me,in the Beginning of this Journey with Austin, that so much GOOD and POSITIVE would have ever come out of this Childhood Tragedy. I realize this is not always the case as one Childhood CANcer Family member expressed at a meeting we attended, however, for those who cannot FIND nor SEE the LIGHT you must have FAITH, HOPE, and BELIEVE in MIRACLES from above. No matter how grave the diagnosis or the outcome, you must seek Divine Peace and Understanding. It is much harder than is written here most of the time, as We too had to do a lot of soul searching to face the reality of Austins Diagnosis in the beginning and throughout his treatments for almost a year running. Take JOY in the Little Victories and Pray for the Major Battles to be Won. Without BELIEF in a HIGHER POWER there is No Faith,Hope,Peace,Understanding,or Miracles.....just Pain and Sadness.God Bless you all and Bless the Children !!!!
