Up to Day 4, Lizzie Swarf! Ive loved this woman since I saw her glower down a camera, wearing a red & white warning tape dress and growl, So what if I dont...? in her video for Misfit. Shes an immensely talented musician, singer, songwriter and after meeting and getting to know her somewhat, I found shes also a truly lovely caring friend. She likes horror stories - even mine, strange girl - and also, at a time when I was at my very lowest ebb, she was the first with real insight and compassion for my state and offered a vital lift, that was sorely needed. Amy Studt, youre a marvel and Im so glad I can call you a friend. Cant wait to see you next year on tour :-) x I posted this particular song, because it relates so much to someone else I dearly love and lost (she was stolen from the rest of the world too) shortly before seeing Amy perform live for the first time. When she played this, I melted into floods of tears. And yes, hearing it now still has the same effect. Today I nominate Helen Martin, who sat sobbing next to me that same night, Antonia Jones, who met me during the terrible, bereaved week and helped me smile, when I thought it wouldnt be possible again, and Dee Lawton, wholl post summat raucous to help the hugs work better :)
