Update 4.27pm A man who died following a three vehicle collision in West Row, this morning, Tuesday 15 October is being named by police. Police were called at around 7:55am with a report of a three-vehicle collision on West Row Road involving a blue Toyota, a red Peugeot and a white Mazda. The ambulance service attended but the male driver of the Toyota, David John Rolfe, aged 75 years from Mildenhall, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. A doctor from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service also attended the scene. The female driver of the Peugeot, aged in her 40s was trapped and extracted from the vehicle by the fire service. She currently remains in West Suffolk Hospital being treated for back and chest injuries. The female driver of the Mazda has been treated for shock. The road was closed whilst officers gathered information as part of a collision investigation and recovery of the vehicles took place. The road re-opened at around 1.20pm. Anyone witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101. The female driver of the Peugeot was trapped and was extracted from the vehicle by the fire service. She has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital with back and chest injuries. The female driver of the Mazda has been treated for shock. An area of the road between Mildenhall and West Row is still closed whilst a collision investigation takes place and the vehicles are recovered.
