Update...Bennie Foard...Saturday, Oct.11th, 2014...Surprising news today when I saw Bennie. He said that last night when he was getting his shower, the tech washed his feet with a washcloth and soap...He jerked his foot back, then asked to have the other foot washed too...same thing happened. HE FELT IT!!!!! IT TICKLED!!!! First time he has had any feeling in his feet since early March!!!! I am so excited. Oh, my God is such an awesome Great Physician, and so worthy to be praised!!! He hears the prayers of His children and answers. Our job is to keep the faith, be patient, and wait on the Lord. That is a pretty tall order, and there are times when I have fallen short on all three counts. Im so thankful for a God who forgives, has compassion, and understands to the utmost what patience is all about. Tomorrow we will be going on a rehab outing to the George Bush Museum.....Just Bennie, me, Janie, and Danny. Then we will all go out for dinner that evening. We have graciously, and generously been furnished a new wheelchair accessible van (all totally automatic ramp and more) to use as we wish. They brought it to BIR, and will pick it up on Monday...all at their expense. God has had His hand on us every moment, and in every situation. He is concerned and helping with things we dont even think about. Jehovah Jirah, my Provider. Our dismissal date is still set for Oct.21st, but the doctor and team are not yet aware of His progress with his feet. We dont know if that will change anything about the date or not. That will be determined by any progress that may come from those changes. We will keep you informed of any changes. Still so very HOMESICK!! We have been blessed with visitors the past few days...Linda Denton, Steven and Aghavni Ball and family, Conrad and Ellen Masterson, Karen and Marsha Leonard, and Paul and Glenda Foard. Friends and family...We are truly blessed. We are overwhelmed, and in awe of your love, and for all that has been done for our family through this living nightmare called GBS. Thank you for continuing to pray for complete recovery for my sweet Bennie, and for all the support and encouragement you have been to us. Your faith has been contagious, and helps me keep the strength to continue holding to the hem of His garment.
