really great little jam with the talents of Q (Quincy Jones), Hubert Laws (Flute) and Herbie Hancock (Rhodes). unknown fact: as you listen to Herbies keyboard playing/solo, take note of the orchestra as they follow his playing, when in fact Quincy transcribed Herbies entire keyboard parts (left & right hands) and added the orchestra parts later! not an easy task to track every note Herbie is playing when he is just ad-libbing (and fantastic too!!). one of my fave Q productions just for the solo alone. (from the Q album: Sounds And Stuff Like That give it a listen for more great music and musicians).
