Update: Brother Steve saw his doctor for the follow up on last weeks mixed bag biopsy. The GREAT NEWS is that the biopsy shows no active cancer cells. He will undergo another PET scan next month to check again. He let me know that the pain management is improving, as well. In about two weeks, the doctor wants Steve to try drinking water, broth, and possibly some soft food. Hes been told to give his body a few weeks to begin to recover. They will then address the scar tissue that surrounds his carotid artery and the nerves in his throat and neck. Steve is still pretty fatigued and beat up from the intense chemotherapy and radiation he received to kill this very aggressive cancer. But, we remain hopeful for a full recovery. Hes continuing to fight to get well and reclaim his body and his life. We cant thank you enough for all the support as were moving along this journey. Hes not out of the woods yet, but we have more hope for the clearing now. Please continue to spread the word about our fundraising efforts, well.
