Update Hi everyone, Today was a fairly quiet day compared to the last few. I awoke to a text message from Judy this morning that read, Your dad and I have both had a wonderful night. Cant ask for a better way to start the day. His critical care doctor and the head of the trauma department both checked up on him today to see how the drain was doing and both were overwhelmingly positive at the progress he has made since yesterday morning. They began to slowly decrease the amount of oxygen through his breathing tube today from 100% this morning down to 40% by the time I left this evening. Theyll continue to wean him off the vent as long as things keep going well, which is exactly what we want, but its also been nice to have such an extended—from my perspective—period of time without incident so this process will be a bit nerve racking as they balance keeping him stable with helping him progress. Pray that everything continues to go smooth and that Judy can get another night of good rest. Thanks, Joe
