***Update*** I have an update of my health status. Following my colonoscopy I received my pathology results of my biopsys they were clean. However because there was inflammation present prior to the colonoscopy, my Dr. and I chose to perform an endoscopy (which I had Monday) to see if the inflammation was actually in my upper GI (which has never been checked before.) During the endoscopy Monday, we found inflammation in the stomach and the very beginning of the small intestine. More biopsies were done and we are now waiting more results, however the endoscopy is not able to go any further into the small intestine. What is unknown is how extensive the inflammation is, or whether or not it is Crohns. In the next week, I will have a capsule test, which will film the entire GI tract from one end to the other. I will swallow a small camera that is in a pill capsule. It will track and record wirelessly to a halter belt that I will wear throughout its journey. This should hopefully tell us once and for all whether or not the Crohns has spread to the small intestine, and whether or not my infusion chemo treatments have stopped working.
