Update: I went to our first team meeting last Monday. TESTIMONIES FROM PREVIOUS TRIPS: Here are some of the things seen on the last two trips: 1) Five blind eyes opened 2) A huge revival meeting where virtually every person was healed without any laying on of hands or prayer (seen in the last part of the video) 3) Witch doctors coming to Christ 4) Centers of ritualistic sacrifice closing and/or becoming much less popular after the trip And the video from the 2013 trip: https://youtube/watch?v=VJE9g2ARdh4 CONNECTION WITH LEADER AND TEAM: I talked with my leader, a First-Year Revival Group Pastor named Marlene at the end of our meeting. She then explained that, although Haiti was my second choice, she had chosen me over many others who had put it down as their first choice because she felt like I was supposed to go, though I had been unsure if I was even supposed to go on a mission trip because of my crazy schedule. She also said that I would be very helpful for the whole team with my knowledge of French. I left feeling much more secure knowing that I was chosen and also that two of my Revival Groups interns had been on that trip two years ago. FINANCIAL TESTIMONIES: The next day, my parents paid off the rest of my deposit! As it was, the amazing Selene Amador, who is currently fundraising for her own mission trip, sowed $100 into mine out of obedience as a seed for her own trip. That day, the cost of her trip went down $1000! This past week, we heard a testimony of how a BSSM students parents received the same spiritual breakthrough as their son after sowing into his school tuition, and I realized that something actually happens in the spiritual realm when we give. Please be praying as I start writing support letters and visit my family and their church for Thanksgiving, that it would be put on peoples hearts to give, but also that these people would receive the same breakthrough we get in Argentina and in Redding.
