Update: JFNA March Madness Pool Hi All -- I hope you all had a great weekend watching hours and hours and hours of hoops. (or maybe that was just me and Yehuda). First, some bad news. None of us won Warren Buffetts Billion-Dollar perfect bracket challenge, so we may need to re-think that JFNA strategy to fund our new initiatives using the winnings. Perfect picks are apparently pretty hard. Not only did no one in our pool pick every game perfectly so far in all four regions of the tournament, none of us picked them for three regions. Or two. But, one person can actually still have a perfect region -- congrats to Jena Merl of NWP for nailing the East Region so far. Speaking of perfect picks, we also had only one person correctly called the biggest upset of the tournament so far -- Mercer over Duke. So next time you go by Davida Falks desk, be sure to congratulate her. Shes also in NWP, so clearly the NWP teams pre-tournament bracket strategy retreat is paying off. So how about the rest of us? Leading the way at this point is a joint entry from Brenda and Emily in JCSA, who have 52 points. Second is Ed Finkel, and tied for third are Dave Feinman and Janine Zaltsman. The scores are pretty tightly bunched though, and about a third of the pool picked Florida to win it all, so if you picked Florida, youre in good company.
