My dog people (and anyone else that might know), I need advice!!! Ok, so a week or so ago, Henry tore the quick in his front right dew claw. Ive managed to keep it from getting infected, Ive been treating it with doggie antibiotic ointment and have kept an e-collar on him. Heres my issue, hes still managing to lick his claw, even with the cone on him! Ive sprayed Bitter Apple on his paw and the claw, and he just licks it off. Any other ideas about what I can do to keep him from licking it? The claw hasnt bled for a few days, Ive limited his activity to keep it from opening back up, but Im scared if he keeps licking it, it will get infected.
