Update: Mesa residents needing shelter are now being directed to the Broadway Rec Center at 59 E. Broadway. We are moving everyone from Mesa Convention Center to Broadway Rec. EOC update..while it appears the worst of the rain is behind us we are now starting to have new issues with flooding near Keller Elementary School (1445 E Hilton) we have two large retention basins and both are overflowing. Currently, water is overflowing the curbs & flooding homes. Up to 100 homes are threatened by this flooding and people are having to evacuate due to electrical arcing. Keller school is also being evacuated. Please remember that the Mesa Convention Center is being used as a shelter for those needing a temporary refuge, 263 N Center St.
