Update; Our daughter is out of surgery; they removed a lot of the bone and debris, they had to reset the fractured area, and with the help of a lot of screws, some wire mess and a concrete paste, she has been rebuilt. Her brain tissue seems to be healthy with mild swelling, but the next 24 hours will be very telling, and stressful. Our defiant little girl smiled and waved to every visitor in the room, told Kelly to get her bunny, and acknowledged the helicopter ride from earlier in the day. Personally, when I had to leave her side for more tests, I told her nurse Amy would be with her until I got back, and, that, she was in charge., Bella responded with a thumbs up. The doctors have declared they may remove the neck brace and her breathing tube, tonight.....to their amazement. So, currently outside of her physical appearance, she seams to be headed in a good direction, prayers and well wishes are still welcome. I spoke with the driver of the truck tonight, hes very upset about it all, having dealt with similar family trauma and we talked at length about all of it, and when I asked if he would except a phone call from her he said he looks forward to giving Bella a hug. So, thank you all, again....and I will continue to update.
