Update: The Case of the Missing Back Yard Fence. I took down the post because someone took o-fence to my post believing I was saying negative things about my neighbours, when I did not mention names or my address. The house I am attached to is owned by wigwamen. We have a mutual fence that was clearly on my side of the property line. I looked out one day and it was gone. I contacted the corporation and they said not to worry about it because a newer fence was going up and they could take it down because they are sure they put it up at some point. They sent me the survey they were using, which proved my point that the fence was on my property line and their fence rational were wrong. They did not even give me a common curtesy letter saying what they were doing or looking at their own survey. As a corporation that is out to help marginalize people, they have not done a good job of protecting any of my rights as a land owner. So I have written them a letter stating fencing laws in Toronto and how to dispute fencing situations. You would think they would know better and as a result I have no dividing backyard fence. I am left wondering how this will get resolved.
