Update-Travis is doing better:) He now has feeling in his feet and up his legs. He can tell us what toe we are touching without looking. This is an improvement from the "deep sensations" he was having just a couple days ago. The touch he can feel is just light. He cannot move his lower extremities but they have assured us that the feeling returns before any motor skills so we are hopeful. He is also getting more coordinated with his hands and arms. Just tonight he held a cup for the first time to take a drink on his own. He is still unable to feed himself as he is unable to grip silverware. Just eating and doing his hand and arm exercises wears him out quickly. We have decided that Trav seems to be handling this emotionally better than we are. He is very realisitic in the possibility that he may not walk again but is determined to work hard to regain as much as he can. He had a physical therapist tell him today that he wishes he could go to Craig with us to witness his progress. He told him that he could see the determination in his eyes and if anyone could recover it would be him. Our prayers are being answered, our god is good!!
