Update Wednesday 4:30pm Our heart is glad in him, because we trust his Holy name. Psalm 33:21 Our hearts are glad, our hearts are over joyed with all the great changes that are taking place in our world. Less than a month ago we were hanging onto life, now we are celebrating it! Shelly has reached a new level in therapy. Its like she is just plain showing off now. She is so happy that she is going home soon. Today after PT, instead of walking back to the room, she did lunges. Yes, real lunges. I hate lunges and she is just smiling and saying, look what I can do! She then followed that up with a long nap, but well deserved! We are working on lining everything up for the next step. Getting all her needs in order for the move to my dads and then lining up therapy for next week. We dont want to miss a beat. She is doing too good! All the doctors warn us that things will be slowing down, the growth curve will begin to plateau. She has regained so much so fast that we have became spoiled. Going home will begin the real work. That brings me to Friday. She has no clue about our little celebration planned! It is so fun to hear her talk about going home, its going to be such a surprise. The facility here knows the plan, and they are helping with logistics. They asked for everyone to park up the hill at the mall then walk down. We want to make sure we dont inconvenience any of the other patients here. Especially in case of an emergency. Be in the parking lot and ready by 11:30. The staff are going to help me stall things out until then. Shelly is going to wake up ready to go, so it will be a challenge to slow her down now. A lot of the staff want to join us in the celebration, so sticking to the schedule is important. I want this to be a HUGE deal for her, she deserves it. Thanks for helping make that happen!
