Update: Well it is Saturday and I was discharged from the VA - TopicsExpress

Update: Well it is Saturday and I was discharged from the VA after a week of inpatient chemo. Ill go neutropenic (no immune system) over the next few days but better to do that at home than in a hospital where there are all sorts of bugs and infections lurking around. Love my nurses and will see them again in a month when we do it all over again. For the most part, I feel great. Yes, Ive shaved my head but by the Grace of God and your prayers, my warriors, I have not had any of the other nasty side effects of chemo. Ill claim that as a miracle. Visitors welcome unless you are sick, then you have to keep clear until my blood counts are back to normal. I go back on August 19th for the next round. What a birthday gift, eh? God is good... all the time and I fully expect to remain in remission. House needs some cleaning... if anyone knows someone in Conway area who needs a house-cleaning gig, message me. I dont wish to do it while my immune system is trying to fight back... Ill be taking a new drug tomorrow (injecting myself....) that is supposed to boost the bone marrows ability to create white blood cells. Pray that it does what they say it will. A few side effects but Im starting to believe side effects werent written for me. LOL. Thank you, my prayer warriors, for all your prayers, cards, donations to the relief fund, and your love. I am humbled by the coast-to-coast messages Ive received from churches, prayers groups and people who just heard about my situation from freinds, etc. I love you all. Love fiercely and tell those around you that you love them today. Life In Every Breath!!!
