Update for Alex Lovett, Monday 08-19 2013, DAY 344 Tradin’ paint has taken on a whole new meaning in our house, as Alex learns to navigate his scooter through narrow halls and doorways! He is doing really well at it though. Alex had a good day, although he was stuck with Ol’ Mom all morning, while I worked at home. He had a lunch-time visit from his home speech therapist (SOS). She brought him a special treat; chicken nuggets, waffle fries and a coke from Chik-Fila! He loved their nuggets and fries, and even their special sauce (even though it wasn’t ranch dressing!) Alex got a chance to show off his new scooter skills for her, and practice his “SOS” techniques; speak louder, over-enunciate, and slow down! Alex and his afternoon care-giver went for a walk, and I went into the office to work until early evening. Dad was in charge of supper, and it looks like they had corn on the cob. Such beautiful almost full moon tonight on my drive home! Today’s re-discovery; Chicken nuggets from Chik-Fila (Thank you SOS!)
