Update for Team East: Heidi traveled to UCLA on Monday. She had many tests done and got lots of information. It was overwhelming. A flood of emotions came over Heidi. Heidi was sick the entire drive home. She continues to feel flu like symptoms. Please pray for her recovery. Her whole brain radiation was postponed to 3 days next week. She will rest for the rest of this week. She found out some information about her donor. The donor is a 28 year old healthy woman. Heidi found out that she can write letters to her donor without revealing her identity. She will be able to find out who she is and meet her in 1 year. One interesting fact Heidi learned was Heidi has a rare blood type but she found out her donor has an extremely rare blood type. The donor is AB negative. Once Heidi has her transplant Heidis blood type will change to match the donors blood type. Interesting. So Team East.... We are praying for a 28 year old woman. Praise God for her! Heidi will be admitted to the hospital on the afternoon or evening of Monday, January 26th. Thank you for your continued support.
