Update for anyone who followed lasts nights madness: After 12 weeks of chasing, using a debt collector, and being told numerous times to go **** ourselves the account in question has been paid. Overpaid actually, by $10 for some reason, but well call that interest. Weve also had word that another creditor owed $2500 was informed an hour ago that their 3 month old payment had been paid. It hasnt landed in their account yet, but lets hope it will. You can go through all the normal means to chase an overdue account, be polite, send reminders, but if you put it on Facebook, theyll pay it the day after you do. Sadly, that sends a terribly dubious message that social media is more powerful than any other means, which is an odd thing to be happening. It would be far more preferable if courteous and gentlemanly ways of doing business were rewarded rather than outing a company in such an admittedly ridiculous and outlandish fashion. Normal service is now resumed :-)
