Update from Candice: The roller coaster begins... Ethan has an infection in his lungs so the bone marrow transplant has been delayed. He is under general anesthesia right now having a bronchoscopy to get samples from his left lung for testing. Preliminary tests should be back in a week. We were disappointed yesterday when we heard about the infection and sad that it has delayed his treatment. However, he has to be healthy going into his bone marrow transplant. We meet with the bone marrow transplant doctor on Friday. With that meeting we will find out if the donor is ready to proceed, which would give us a tentative date for his bone marrow transplant. If there is a delay in the bone marrow transplant, Ethan will need to continue with chemotherapy to keep the cancer down. Please keep him in your prayers. The last round was very hard on him.
