Update from Dillons parents. We adopted our terrier mix Dillon on November 9th, 2014, but the story actually began a few weeks earlier when our beloved terrier mix Abby passed away suddenly at only 7 years old. We cried for days because Abby had been such a loved member of our family and brought such joy to our lives. My wife, our other dog Buddy the golden retriever and myself felt such a huge hole in our hearts that we just had to find another terrier mix to adopt. We had been looking around on the web and when we found Dillon and knew this was the one. I stayed up late that same night making out the application with high hopes. It all happened so fast that we picked up Dillon on the first day he had become available. Buddy and Dillon got along great and we were fortune to have been selected to be Dillon’s new humans. Upon arriving home Dillon was reserved at first, not knowing he was allowed on the furniture and not knowing he was welcome on the bed at night. It was only a couple days before Dillon knew he was our baby and had the run of the house. Now he jumps up on my lap and sleeps on the bed like our little boy. He loves to play hard and go for long walks around the property. He saw his first deer out the window and was very excited. We have a strong bond now and life is good with our little Dillon. We are so thankful for Last Day Dog Rescue and Dillon’s foster mom for having rescued Dillon on his last day at the shelter. You guys are truly heroes to our family. God bless you. Happy tails.
