To our Dakota Ridge family, Wow! Sunday was the most amazing day. A very heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all of the administrators, coaches, and students who joined us at the 2013 Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk. Our family was both humbled and SO proud of our DRidge community for coming out to walk with Mark and all people with Down syndrome again this year. Lead by the football coaches and players, we have been the largest high school team in attendance for the past three years! Live, Love, Learn, Leave a Legacy. This is the motto at Dakota Ridge High School. This is what all 112 of you demonstrated to the world when you showed up at City Park, en masse, donned in cardinal and navy. Despite family birthdays, brunches, recent surgeries and other commitments, you all made time to show us what it means to be a community. The message that you sent to every family who has a child with Down syndrome was loud and clear: Your child is important. Your child will have true friends and a community. Your child will learn from his friends and they will learn from him. This is your legacy. We couldn’t be more proud to be an Eagle! Thank you, Dave, Beth & Mark Leon
