Update from MaryEsther (6 hours ago): Well...I was going to send you all a pre-game picture of Cole, but he is sleeping at the moment, so we will wait until later. We will be cheering on our bulldogs in a nice,dry hospital room at St. Jude. Cole is still pretty puny, but he hasnt had fever since they started the fluids and antibiotics...this is a great thing! We still arent sure exactly what caused the fever, but his line cultures came back negative (which means there is no infection in the lines in his chest). This is another great thing! He has been complaining of his mouth hurting and appears to have swollen gums along with a few dark spots behind his front top teeth. We were warned previously that chemo can cause mouth sores. This could be a possible cause of the fever, or he could possibly be a little dehydrated. We have been told that often it is hard to pinpoint exactly what the cause is, but the most important thing is that we fix it. Please keep praying...Kyle and I are exhausted and Cole isnt feeling the best. As usual, the nurses and doctors have been wonderful....that makes all the difference in the word to two exhausted and confused parents. We wish we were home, but thankful we are able to be treated so quickly! Yall cheer loud for our bulldogs and we are praying for a WIN!!! Fight like a Dawg!! #teamcole
