Update from the meeting: Again, like last week I a not there, but several GRACE people are and are sending me updates. There were 50-60 advocates there (yay!). I understand that public comment was pretty heated with elevated voices from both sides. Side note: We understand how upsetting this is, but we ask that everyone really try to remain professional. Ok, end of lecture. The Board decided to have a closed session to discuss some items. At this point they have voted to reinstate ALL volunteers, stop requiring cell phones and ID to be surrendered by visitors, and they voted to hire an MDA recommended consultant overseer to evaluate the shelter and make recommendations.
