Update on Courtney sorry its taken so long.....mainly we have just been waiting. She was riding yesterday afternoon and got threw off landing on her head. It cracked her skull behind her left ear to the base of it witch is the worst place you can fracture it. It caused bleeding on her brain right behind her ear......but when they did the last ct scan it had stopped bleeding. She will have some short term effects and some long term effects.....loss of hearing, memory, and it affected the part of the brain that controls anger\emotions. Even once she gets up and around it will be weeks before they know to what extent. Mainly now we just wait.....she has another ct scan early this morning.... PRAY for no more bleeding or that spinal fluid isnt leaking. She was awake for about 20 minutes last night and could even carry on a conversation that was such a relieving feeling :) shes been back out now since about 11 but is doing very good considering! She is still in neuro icu so visitation has gotten more limited so we will let you know when she gets moved into a room. Thank you all for the prayers they are greatly appreciated!
